A NEW YORK FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHS THE NEWS

Two years after leaving ACME in 1935 to pursue his freelance career, Weegee becomes the feature himself. Little known outside New York, Life magazine exposes his techniques and motivations to the Nation.

'A swarthy, pleasant, uncultured man, he loves his work and even likes the people he photographs. He thinks murderers are "very nice people", because they rarely give a cameraman trouble.'

The magazine is in good original condition, with a tape repair to the spine.
