An original and rare copy of Illustrated magazine published at the height of the Battle of Britain in August 1940.
 
The cover features pilots of 46 Squadron sat on the wing of a Hakwer Hurricane,.This photograph was taken at R.A.F. Digby after a visit by King George VI on 2nd November 1939.

'Spitfired' shows several  photographs of downed Luftwaffe aircraft in various places on the South coast.
