Bert Hardy Life in the Elephant Picture Post 8th January 1949

A rare copy of Picture Post featuring Bert Hardy's photo essay, 'Life in the Elephant'. Throughout November 1948 Hardy documented life and personalties of the Elephant and Castle. Picture Post ran the story over seven pages with 20 images.
 
The magazine is original and complete and in very good condition. The original staples have been removed. There is a lightly penceilled name at the top of the cover page.
