Chet's Circus A.F.P.U. Army Film and Photographic Unit Illustrated 1943
A rare and original copy of Illustrated magazine featuring a photo essay entitled 'Chet's Circus'.
This was the nickname of a group of photographer's attached to No.1 Army Film and Photographic Section documenting the desert war and the 8th Army in North Africa.
The article includes photographs of Sergeant Leonard Chetwyn, "Jimmy" Mapham, Sgt. Herbert and Acland.
The photo essay runs over three pages and includes ten photographs iof the "unofficial" unit. All the men attached were pre-war press photographers who volunteered their services to the Army Film and Photographic Unit.
The magazine is complete and original and in very good condition
