Original, Vintage 1955 US Insert film poster for Teenage Crime Wave

A stunning and original vintage insert film poster of 'Teenage Crime Wave', printed on heavy stock paper, paper backed.Teenage Crime Wave is a 1955 juvenile delinquency, Film Noir crime film directed by Fred F. Sears and starring Tommy Cook and Molly McCart. It was released by Columbia Pictures. The plot concerns a pair of delinquent teens who go on a statewide shooting spree after escaping from reform school.

This stunning and original vintage film poster is printed on heavy stock paper, and paper backed to remove folds and strengthen.   It is a US Insert, measuring 14" x 36", and is ready for framing. 

Teenage Crime Wave was in was in good condition before paper backing, and the colours are bright and crisp on this 67 year old poster. There are some marks and scuffs at the very bottom of the poster, in the yellow text area, which does not distract from the artwork overall. The very edge of the poster at the bottom left border is scuffed, and a tiny bit of paper is missing from the bottom right border corner . 

All our film posters are original, and most have been used in cinemas. This means that they may show signs of use, including fading, creasing, holes and staining. We endeavor to list these if they are significant, but there may be minor, age -related wear that is not detailed. Posters from this era were printed onto cheap paper, which over time can become brittle and discolored. Folding the paper caused further damage, and the posters may have split along the fold lines, along with damage caused by tape and drawing pin holes. Inserts, such as this poster, are on a thicker stock paper. During the backing process, the poster is cleaned to remove dirt and marks, where possible, and de-acidified to neutralize the paper and prevent further decay. The poster is pasted onto a sheet of Masa paper, which flattens it, fixes tears, prevents further damage and brings the wonderful artwork back to life.  

The film poster presents very well, and is ready for framing. It will be mailed rolled in a cardboard tube.
