Women War Reporters Peggy Diggins Lee Miller Illustrated 1943

An original copy of Illustrated featuring a two page article on 'Women War Reporters' serving in European Theatre of Operations  (E.T.O.) during World War II.
 
The cover features Peggy Diggins (1921-1957), an American actress, who served as a photographer and war correspondent with U.S. Forces in England. The camera she is using is an Anniversary Speed Graphic. She sadly died in a car crash in Florida in 1957 aged 35.
 
The photo essay also includes portraits of several other war correspondents including Vogue photographer Lee Miller.
 
The magazine is comple and original and in very good condition.
