Terms of Sale

By placing an order on this site you are purchasing an item on and subject to the following terms and conditions.

 - When an order is placed you will receive a confirmation email that your order has been received. This email will only acknowledge that your order has been placed but will not confirm that it has been accepted.

 - Once your order has been accepted and processed you will receive a secondary email confirming that your order has been dispatched, this email will also contain a Royal Mail tracking order for your package. Only once you have received this email a contract between us has been made. Only the items confirmed in the email and dispatched are included in the contract

 

Condition if items

Slightly out of Focus is an online store selling original, vintage magazines and photographs.  We do NOT sell reproductions.  The magazines may be 100 years old, and have been read. We only sell items in very good and excellent condition, and we will endeavor to list any notable defects such as missing pages.  As a result of their age, there may be minor repairs such as replacement of staples, and there may be slights marks, surface dirt, nicks and creases.  We aim to display and describe as honestly as possible, but please remember these are items of age and will not always be perfect. 

 

Intellectual Property, Software and Content
The copyright and other ownership rights (known as "Intellectual Property Rights") in this website and its contents (including design, text, logos, trade names, graphics, software and any other material) are owned by Slightly out of Focus. You must not publish, copy, distribute or modify any of the content of this website. Anyone may view this website and print pages from it for personal use only, browsing our products and placing an order with us. Any other use is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent. You must not make any copy of any material from the website for any business-related use whatsoever. All photographs on the site are our own photographs from our actual products.

 

Shipping

We are happy to ship worldwide and will post out at cost. All items are sent in sturdy cardboard mailers through the Royal Mail, with a tracked and signed for service.

 

Postage within the UK is £4.50 no matter how many items you order.  We aim to dispatch within two days by Royal Mail 1st class Tracked and Signed for, and your purchase should arrive within 2 working days after dispatch.

For International orders, postage is calculated by weight at cost. Magazine vary considerably in thickness- many magazine published during the war are thinner and lighter, therefore postage is less.

 

Within the EU,  packages weighing up to 200 grams cost £9.50. Over this weight, parcels will cost £12.00, irrespective of how many items you order. 

 

For the rest of the world, including the USA, packages weighing up to 200 grams cost £10.50   . Over this, and parcels will cost £15.50, irrespective of how many items you order. 

 

Postage will be calculated at the checkout based on weight, before you commit to buy.  Please contact me at guy@slightly-ot-of-focus.comfor a quote if your country does not appear on the list.

 

Overseas shipments may be subject to import duties and tax. Additional charges must be at the customer’s expense. Please note that we are NOT responsible for any import charges or any other fees that you may incur when receiving goods. If the local customs place a charge on the item before it can be delivered, it is your responsibility to pay it. 

 

In the event that an oversight has occurred and an item is out of stock (and not stated so on the website) you will be notified as soon as possible and a refund will be issued.

 

Returns
We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase.  In the unlikely event that you are not happy, items may be returned if you notify us via email within 14 days of receipt of product. Products must be returned undamaged and in the state in which they were sent. You are responsible for ensuring correct packing of the product and using appropriate postal and recorded delivery methods with relevant insurance cover in place. Slightly out of Focus is not responsible for the loss or damage of any returned product. Upon satisfactory receipt of the returned goods we will refund your payment within 7 days, minus the costs of initial shipping charges.

 

Payment

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards via the Paypal secure payment gateway only.
 

 

Privacy

We will never share any of your personal details to 3rd parties. The only personal information we may have stored is your name, contact details and items purchased. We do not store card details and all transactions are done securely through Paypal.
